The North Squadron is home to the White Way gate and rather close to the famous place of execution, the Sokyoku Hill. The North squadron is home to the ruins of at least four divisions.

Here in the East Squadron the Blue Stream gate is located, now manned by the wretched Arrancar. Here in the East Squadron lies at least four destroyed or ruined divisions of the once dominant Gotei 13. The Arrival and Departure gate are located here as well.

The South Squadron like everywhere else was left in ruins, due to the great war and invasion of the Seireitei. The 10th and 13th Divisions were located in this area. Central 46 was also located in this area, now left in ruins. The Black Ridge Gate is located in the South Squadron, manned by the Arrancar forces.

The West Squadron of the Seireitei was once home to three divisions of the Gotei 13, now either destroyed or left in ruins. The Red Hollow Gate is located in this area, now manned by the forces from Hueco Mundo.
